This year, our member UP Catalyst was selected as one of 16 companies globally to receive support through the Bezos Earth Fund Acceleration Initiative in collaboration with The Earthshot Prize. The program is highly competitive and spans the full spectrum of clean technology and environmental innovation worldwide.

UP Catalyst was awarded $100,000 to accelerate the scale-up of its production of battery-grade graphite derived directly from CO₂ emissions.
The company produces carbon nanomaterials and graphite from CO₂, with applications ranging from electric vehicle batteries to concrete and biomedicine.

This recognition sends a strong signal that Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technologies are not only scientifically promising, but commercially and strategically relevant. Transforming CO₂ into high-value materials demonstrates how climate solutions can simultaneously reduce emissions, strengthen supply chains, and build competitive clean industries.

Congratulations to the entire UP Catalyst team on this well-deserved global recognition!
