As a cornerstone of Thailand’s chemical industry, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) is committed to innovation, investing in sustainable technology, and delivering products across the energy and materials sectors. They operate in diverse business portfolios, including olefins and derivatives, refining, aromatics, green chemicals, and performance materials.
Our new member has been partnering with research institutions, startups, technology developers, and government agencies to map out a comprehensive Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) roadmap that aligns with national and international emission reduction targets. This roadmap guides GC’s identification and selection of suitable CCU technologies for different product streams, i.e. fuel, chemical and materials.
In their organisation, our new member applies #circulareconomy principles by implementing the GC Circular Living concept which involves higher efficiency of resource consumption. In this regard, GC has been rated number one internationally for sustainability in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) Chemicals Sector for five consecutive years. Our new member has set decarbonization goals and pathways. The goal is to attain net zero emissions for scope 1 and 2 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent for scope 3 by 2050.
