We are recruiting a policy intern to support the Policy & Advocacy Team by following the national and regional energy and policy plans (NECPs) and initiatives and analysing their impact on the carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) community in the European Union. To understand the challenges at hand, she/he will also follow relevant European policy developments and, more generally, support the Policy & Advocacy Team in its other activities.

Main Responsibilities 

🔵Following and reporting on energy, climate and environment and industry European policies;

🔵Participating and reporting on events and conferences;

🔵Supporting the work and actions of the Policy & Advocacy team more generally.

🔵Setting up monitoring tools to follow the implementation of energy, climate environment and  industry policies at Member states level (i.e. transposition of European policies);

🔵Following and reporting on national and regional instruments and other related initiatives (i.e. national energy and climate plans – NECPs; recovery and resilience plans; national groups and alliances around CCU and related topics, etc.), and setting up related monitoring tools.

Job Requirements

🔵University degree in Political Sciences, EU Affairs, Public Policy & Management, or related fields;

🔵Fluent in written and spoken English;

🔵Understanding of the decision-making processes at EU and national level;

🔵Strong interest in climate change, sustainability and energy transition issues;

🔵Keen eye for detail and ability to prioritise;
