On the 29th of April, our Scientific Director, Célia Sapart, was invited to deliver a keynote lecture at the 2nd Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences SATW Forum on Defossilisation in Bern.
Her presentation, “The Contribution of Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) Towards Climate Neutrality in the EU”, highlighted the potential of CCU technologies across Europe in achieving climate targets. Together with other speakers, including our SAC member André Bardow, Célia Sapart initiated a discussion on the role CCU can play in helping Switzerland achieve climate goals and in providing solutions to “defossilise” the Swiss industry.
This year’s SATW Forum focused on the use of CO₂ as a raw material — a key pathway to defossilisation through CCU technologies. The event brought together leaders from industry, research, and public administration to explore how Switzerland can meet its 2050 climate goals under the Climate and Innovation Act.
