Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to climate change mitigation by developing a more efficient technology for capturing CO₂ emissions from industrial flue gases.
Optimise temperature-vacuum swing adsorption process cycles.
Support the development of new structured sorbents through computational simulation and experimental sorption testing at lab- and pilot-scale.
Collaborate on (inter)national research projects with industrial and academic partners.
Deliver high-quality scientific results in accordance with project timelines.
Publish research findings in high-impact scientific publications and present results at relevant conferences.
Qualifications:
PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Bioscience Engineering, or related fields.
Profound knowledge of chemical engineering fundamentals, including fluid flow, heat & mass transfer, and kinetics, as well as gas adsorption phenomena.
Demonstrated expertise in process modeling and simulation tools for cyclic gas adsorption processes (e.g., ASPEN, Matlab, gPROMS, Python).
