Our member eChemicles, recognised as one of the 11 top innovators by Uplink’s Global Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) Challenge, has developed one of the world’s first containerised low-temperature CO₂ electrolyser system, which can be coupled with renewable energy to convert CO₂ into valuable chemicals in a carbon-neutral way. The system has reached TRL6 and its first validation campaign has been successfully completed.

eChemicles, an innovative start-up working towards carbon recycling through industrial CCU technologies, will showcase this groundbreaking CO₂ electrolyser system at the eChemicles’ Open Day, on the 27th of May 2025, in Szeged, Hungary.

During this event, participants will have the opportunity to celebrate successful test runs and experience the technology firsthand. The day will feature presentations, panel discussions, lab and container visits, and an evening gathering. Key experts from academia, industry, and policy will come together to explore the opportunities and challenges of the CCU and CCS technologies.
