CO2 Value Europe has recently welcomed carbon removal specialist Neustark as a member of its dynamic and rapidly growing community active in developing Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technology across Europe.
Neustark, based in Switzerland but operating across Europe, is dedicated to turning the world’s largest waste stream – demolished concrete – into a carbon sink. Our new member created and deployed a solution that captures, then mineralises CO₂ in demolished concrete aggregate – thus permanently storing it and removing the CO₂ from the atmosphere. The partnering recycler can use the CO2-enriched granules as per its usual process to produce recycled concrete or other materials for buildings or roads.
Neustark is committed to making a positive environmental impact by seamlessly integrating its technologies into existing production processes, acting as an essential add-on. It’s a win-win-win for Neustark, its partners, and most importantly, the planet.
One of their key motivations for joining CO₂ Value Europe is to be at the forefront of shaping the best possible outcomes as the landscape of CCU policy developments evolves.
