CO2 Value Europe has recently welcomed imec as a member of its dynamic and rapidly growing community active in developing Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technology across Europe.
imec is a non-profit organisation specialising in nanotechnology innovation with a significant impact on the quality of life. Sustainability is a central pillar of imec’s mission. As part of its sustainability efforts, our new member is actively involved in advancing electrolysis technology to address energy and sustainability-related issues, including CCU.
imec has participated in various public funding initiatives, such as the nanoCCU project from Moonshot. It also collaborates closely with our member VITO and different universities, such as KU Leuven, in the development of electrolysis technology.
As a technology-focused organisation, imec is committed to gaining insights into industrial requirements and staying informed about and supporting emerging policy trends. The company’s motivation is to bridge the gap between the development of CCU technology and its practical industrial applications, thus accelerating the adoption of innovative CCU solutions.
