On 27 May, CO2 Value Europe held its second exclusive online webinar for members, bringing together over 70 participants to explore early opportunities within the upcoming Horizon Europe 2025 Work Programme. The session, which ran from 14:30 to 16:00 CEST, was open to CO2 Value Europe members only.
Organised as the European Commission finalises its 2025 research and innovation agenda, the webinar offered an early look at funding calls particularly relevant to the Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) community. Key thematic areas included industrial symbiosis, circular carbon technologies, sustainable fuels and chemicals, and carbon capture integration into industrial systems.
The webinar was structured in two parts. The first provided participants with insights into the upcoming thematic priorities and research directions under Horizon Europe. In the second part, selected members pitched their early-stage project ideas, helping to spark connections, initiate collaboration, and support the formation of strong consortia for future funding applications.
The event reaffirmed CO2 Value Europe’s commitment to supporting its members in navigating EU funding opportunities and accelerating innovation in CCU technologies.
