Welcome to Our New Member Greenlyte!

Greenlyte aims to mitigate climate change through its innovative Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. Operating from Essen, Germany, with approximately 50 team members and over €25 million in funding, our new member captures CO₂ from ambient air and generates H₂ simultaneously, significantly reducing the costs of Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU). This is done through a 3-stage process:

1 – Absorption in a liquid sorbent solution
2 – Precipitation as hydrogen carbonate
3 – Desorption by electrolysis

Their technology will enable the cost-effective production of synthetic fuels, such as those for aviation and maritime, and facilitate large-scale negative emissions. Greenlyte’s technology has been proven at various scales and they are currently building an integrated DAC to E-Methane facility in Duisburg, Germany launching in 2025.
