This morning, we hosted our first webinar of 2025 for CO₂ Value Europe members, focusing on the financing challenges and opportunities for scaling Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) solutions.

Scaling CCU to an industrial level requires a well-structured financing ecosystem that blends public and private instruments. To help our members navigate this landscape, we were pleased to welcome two esteemed experts from the European Investment Bank (EIB):

🔵 Juliet Dow-Madu, Head of Unit – Innovation Fund, Corporate Finance Advisory

🔵 Khalid Naqib, Venture Capital Investor (Clean Tech, Renewables, Future Mobility)

Juliet and Khalid provided a comprehensive overview of the EIB’s portfolio of financing instruments designed to support cleantech innovations like CCU. Our members gained valuable insights into identifying the most relevant funding opportunities and accessing the financial resources needed to advance their projects.

A sincere thank you to our expert speakers and all CO₂ Value Europe members who joined the discussion. Facilitating access to finance is key to accelerating CCU deployment and driving the transition towards a more sustainable and circular carbon economy.

Save the Date! If you are a CO₂ Value Europe member, join us on May 27th at 2.30 – 4 pm CEST for our second webinar of 2025 on the Horizon Europe 2025 – Exploring New Opportunities for the CCU Community.
