The Maison Irène et Frédéric Joliot-Curie, the French public research network in Brussels, is set to host the “Sustainable and low carbon fuels and chemicals – Time for take-off” workshop, organised by the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), which is the Deputy Coordinator of the of SUNER-C Consortium. This event is part of the official 2023 agenda of the Maison Irène et Frédéric Joliot-Curie, the French public research network in Brussels (BE).
The workshop will focus on the role of sustainable and low-carbon fuels in achieving the European Union’s ambitious energy transition objectives, which include reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2050. In particular, they will allow the “defossilisation“ of industry sectors where electrification alone will not be sufficient.
Representatives from industry, research institutions, academia, the European Commission, and Member States will gather to discuss the topic and the challenges ahead.
