Webinar on Framing Legislation Enabling CCUS Projects in Europe

On the 18th of September from 10 am – 12 pm (CEST), the Repsol Foundation, in cooperation with Rovira i Virgili University will host an online webinar on ‘Framing Legislation Enabling CCUS Projects in Europe‘ to explore the associated challenges and opportunities.
The European Union is making progress in defining this framework through initiatives such as the Industrial Carbon Management Regulation, the Net Zero Industry Act, and the Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF), aimed at encouraging investment, ensuring CO₂ traceability, and facilitating new business models. However, turning these initiatives into concrete projects involves technical, economic, and governance challenges. It is crucial to understand how the various actors in the system interact: from issuing companies, transport and storage operators, to regulators and financial institutions.
