Sustainable Future Week 2024, A POLITICO Summit

From 3-5 December, POLITICO is hosting its sixth annual Sustainability Future Week in Brussels where reporters and editors will interview key politicians, scientists, campaigners, and business executives to address the topics of the viability of the Green Deal, sustainable and innovative agriculture, fuelling cleaner transport, Europe’s energy future, bridging industrial policy and sustainable competitiveness, and circularity. This summit offers a crucial platform to discuss the critical juncture facing the EU’s trajectory towards a greener and more competitive future.

Our Secretary General, Anastasios Perimenis, will take part in the spotlight discussion on ‘Carbon crunch time: removals, storage, can Europe have it all?’, on Tuesday, 3 December from 11:20 to 11:53 am. The panel will be completed by Anders Egelrud (Chief Executive Officer at Stockholm Exergi), Christian Holzleitner (Head of Unit for Low Carbon Solutions: Land Economy & Carbon Removals at DG CLIMA, European Commission), and Eadbhard Pernot (Secretary General at Zero Emissions Platform). The discussion will be moderated by Federica Di Sario (Climate Reporter at POLITICO).

The event is open to the public and will take place in person and livestreamed.
