CO2 Value Europe is a Gold Sponsor at the Renewable Materials Conference (RMC) 2026, taking place from 22-24 September in Siegburg near Bonn/Cologne, Germany (hybrid event), which is a one-of-a-kind event that provides a platform for showcasing impressive achievements in the field of renewable materials.
In just a few years, the Renewable Materials Conference (RMC) has established itself as the international meeting place for innovators, companies and brands, investors, and policymakers to develop and shape the future renewable carbon economy. As in previous years, the conference organiser, our member nova-Institute, expects 400-500 participants from around the world.
The RMC is the leading global event on the renewable carbon economy, showcasing the latest progress in and prospects of bioeconomy, CCU and Recycling for the defossilisation of chemicals and materials. Accordingly, this year’s focus topic is “Defossilisation through innovation”. A highlight on the opening day will be the high-level evening panel: “Quadruple System Shock as Catalysts for Industrial Transformation.” During the conference, the winner of the innovation award “Renewable Material of the Year 2026” will be elected by the audience.

22 September: Defossilisation of the chemical industry: Renewable Carbon Strategies; New Pathways: Fine and Speciality Chemicals; Lignin and CO₂ utilisation.
The day will conclude with a highlight Panel Discussion on “Competitiveness and Strategic Autonomy“, a crucial aspect for realising defossilsation.
23 September: Fossil-free plastics: Market and Application Development, Coating, Adhesives and Binders; CO2-based Polymers; Recycled Polymers & Plastics; Automotive, Consumer Goods, Packaging, Textiles and Toys. The second conference day culminates with the election of the prestigious Innovation Award “Renewable Material of the Year 2026”.
