Flexby Joint Symposium: From Waste to Sustainable Fuels
May 28 @ 9:30 am - May 29 @ 1:30 pm

The path to decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors such as aviation and heavy shipping relies on one critical thing: moving from lab-scale innovation to standardised, sustainable fuel production.
The Flexby project, in collaboration with six leading EU-funded projects, FUEL-UP, PYSOLO, TEAPOTS, BeBOP, Bio-MeGaFuel, and Fuels-C, is co-organising a comprehensive two-day symposium titled: ‘Comprehensive Sustainability Assessment & Product Standardisationin Next-Generation Biofuel Pathways: Integrating Waste-to-Fuel Innovations for Hard-to-Abate Sectors’. The event will take place in Barcelona on 28-29 May 2026.
The Joint Symposium will bring together experts, researchers, industry stakeholders and policymakers to explore how sustainability assessment and product standardisation can accelerate next-generation waste-to-fuel pathways for hard-to-abate sectors.
CO2 Value Europe is a proud member of the Flexby consortium, supporting its communication and dissemination activities and contributing to the project’s clustering efforts. This ensures that Flexby effectively networks with relevant national and international projects and initiatives.
