CO₂ Management as a Strategic Lever for Energy Transition Webinar

CO₂ management has become a strategic pillar for advancing the energy and climate transition. Beyond specific technologies, the real challenge lies in measuring, reducing, and managing emissions coherently and effectively that aligns with global climate goals.

CO₂ Value Europe, the Repsol Foundation Energy Transition Chair, and Rovira i Virgili University are organising the webinar “CO₂ Management as a Strategic Lever for Energy Transition” on the 25^th of March from 12:00-14:00. Industry experts will share their insights on current challenges, innovation opportunities, and the role of CO₂ management as a lever to accelerate a fair, competitive, and data-driven transition.

The webinar will explore CO₂ management from a holistic perspective, covering emissions monitoring and traceability, tools for CO₂ reduction and removal, emerging regulatory frameworks, and the economic criteria influencing the adoption of solutions. The focus will be on how companies, institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders can move from diagnosis to action by embedding CO₂ management into energy and industrial planning.

Our Scientific Advisory Committee member, Prof. Dr. Christian Breyer, will deliver the Keynote address, “CO₂ Management in the Global Energy Transition“ from 12:10-12:30.

Our member, Frank Polzer, Sustainability Manager for Acetyl Value Chain at Celanese, will join the panel of experts on ‘Aligning CO₂ Management Tools with Climate Targets, Regulation, and Competitiveness‘ and will present on ‘Integrating CO₂ Management into Corporate Strategy‘.
