1^st TAKE-OFF Open Doors Day for Young Professionals

CO₂ Value Europe is a proud partner of the TAKE-OFF project, launched in January 2021 and which enables the development and industrial validation of the complete technology chain from CO2 to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This technology route aims to deliver a highly innovative process that produces SAF at lower costs and higher energy efficiency than other power-to-liquid alternatives. The TAKE-OFF route consists of capturing CO₂ from industrial flue gas which reacts with hydrogen produced by renewable electricity to create light olefins. These light olefins are subsequently chemically upgraded into SAF.

This year’s Open Doors Day will specifically target young professionals, PhD and students inside and outside the TAKE-OFF project, and will include a guided visit to the RWE’s plant in Niederaussem, two higher education lectures and a knowledge-sharing part in cooperation with partner EU-funded projects.

The TAKE-OFF Open doors days are organised each year by different project partners and are seen as an efficient way to bring research and innovation closer to the general public and involve local communities in the different steps of the project development.
