On 11 February 2026 in Antwerp (Belgium), our Policy Director Tudy Bernier and many members of the CO2 Value Europe community are at the European Industry Summit 2026 — building on the momentum of the Antwerp Declaration and ahead of the Alden Biesen Informal Council on competitiveness.
Our message is simple:
Europe will not regain competitiveness by weakening climate ambition. It will regain it by investing in clean technologies.
CCU is ready to scale. It can replace fossil feedstocks with sustainable carbon sources and strengthen Europe’s industrial resilience.
What is needed now:
✔️ Keep the EU ETS — but fix what doesn’t work
✔️ Move from Cap-and-Trade to Cap-and-Invest, using ETS revenues to fund industrial decarbonisation
✔️ Ensure captured carbon can compete fairly with fossil carbon
Clean tech is scaling fast globally. In some value chains, Europe has already fallen behind. In others — including CCU — we still have a first-mover advantage.
Now is the moment to act.
