CO2 Value Europe has recently welcomed eChemicles as a member of its dynamic and rapidly growing community active in developing Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technology across Europe.
eChemicles is a Hungary-based company created by seasoned chemists, engineers and business developers with decades of experience in the electrochemical, catalysis, fine chemical and manufacturing industries. Their area of expertise is to develop innovative & sustainable technologies that improve the sustainability of the chemical industry.
The EU-funded project focuses on establishing and bringing to market groundbreaking electrolyser technologies that enable the chemical industry to profitably reduce its environmental impact.
The team’s achievements include the high-pressure hydrogen generator (H-Genie), which won the R&D Top 100 Award in 2019. From 2022 their focus is profitable electrochemical CO₂ conversion. They are currently scaling up their SolarCO2Value™ technology, a containerised CO₂ electrolyser unit (capable of processing 100 t CO₂/year) that uses photovoltaic power. This project aims to translate their scientific and technological excellence into a commercially appealing value proposition.
