CO₂ Value Europe is proud to highlight the recent success of the FLEXBY project, which, together with its partner FUELS-C, organised the insightful webinar “Feedstock Mobilisation: Insights from FUELS-C & FLEXBY” on Tuesday, 4th of November. The event attracted over 60 participants from across Europe and is now available to watch here.
As a consortium partner in FLEXBY, CO₂ Value Europe played an active role in co-organising the event and facilitating the participation of its valued member Energo, represented by Marion Guillevic, Director of Business Development. Energo shared its expertise in biofuel production and insights on how innovative feedstock strategies are advancing Europe’s carbon-neutral and circular energy transition.
Exploring Innovative Feedstock Solutions for the CCU Sector
The webinar brought together leading experts and researchers to explore how bio- and electro-conversion pathways can mobilise alternative feedstocks such as biogenic residues, wastewater, and captured CO₂. FUELS-C presented its work on developing sustainable fuel technologies, while FLEXBY showcased innovative thermal conversion approaches using industrial waste and microalgae.
Speakers included:
- Nuria Ferrera Lorenzo, IDENER.AI
- Eduard Borràs, Leitat Technological Center
- Tomas Ramirez Reina, Universidad de Sevilla
- Gracia Silvestre Tormo, FACSA – Ciclo Integral del Agua
Their presentations demonstrated how complementary technologies across both projects can enhance feedstock diversification, strengthen energy resilience, and support Europe’s circular and low-carbon economy.
Through its role as leader of FLEXBY’s clustering and networking activities, CO₂ Value Europe connects FLEXBY with other EU-funded CCU and renewable fuel initiatives. By leveraging its position as the international association representing the entire Carbon Capture and Utilisation value chain, CO₂ Value Europe fosters collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation among stakeholders across the CCU ecosystem.
This ongoing collaboration highlights the importance of cross-project synergies in accelerating Europe’s transition toward sustainable carbon-based products and renewable fuel pathways.
