This morning, our Senior Policy Manager Tudy Bernier participated as a speaker in the Workshop on Technological and Regulatory Perspectives for CCU at the French Ministry of Economy and Finances in Paris.

The workshop saw the participation of representatives from several French Ministries, public administrations, and national agencies and it was aimed at giving French policymakers the latest information on carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) policy and technology across Europe.

Tudy’s presentation was the opportunity not only to update the participants on the policy of the European Union for the development of CCU but also to present CO2 Value Europe’s vision for the assessable contribution of CCU in the EU strategy of net zero by 2050.

The event, organised in the framework of the French Strategic Committee for Sectoral Actions, aimed at leading different pathways to defossilise the French economy and resulted in a unique opportunity for our association to start an insightful and deep discussion with French key policymakers on the role of CCU in defossilising our economy.

Thank you Elodie Haté for giving us this great opportunity and thank you to our French members VICAT, CEAMGH Energy and IFP-EN for joining the event with us this morning!
