The Industrial Carbon Management Forum (ICM Forum) communication has recognised the role of CCU in achieving our climate goals and maintaining industrial competitiveness.

Against this context, the ICM Forum established a new Working Group (WG) on CCU to advance the deployment of CCU solutions and to implement the necessary actions deriving from the ICM. The mandate of the WG will focus on identifying structural challenges and regulatory barriers to the development of CCU, as well as suggesting solutions to overcome them.

Our Secretary General Anastasios Perimenis will be co-chairing the WG alongside Elena Leonardi from Cefic and Malgosia Rybak from Cepi.

The fourth edition of the ICM Forum will take place in Pau, France on 10-11 October 2024. CCU actors are encouraged to join the already 300 participants by emailing ener-ccusforum@ec.europa.eu.

The ICM Forum was established in 2021 and has been meeting annually since. It brings together representatives from the EU institutions, EU and non-EU countries, NGOs, business leaders, and academia to facilitate the deployment of CCUS technologies.
