As hydrogen rapidly transitions from pilot projects to large-scale industrial deployment, the demand for professionals who combine strong technical expertise with system-level insight into the energy transition is accelerating.
To address this growing skills gap, ULB has developed a specialised training program designed for working professionals: The University Certificate in Hydrogen Applications and Technologies. The programme is curated by the Scientific Committee and academically led by Professor Patrick Hendrick (École polytechnique de Bruxelles).
Starting on 16 January 2026, this selective lifelong-learning certificate targets professionals operating at the forefront of the energy transition. Its modular format allows participants to attend only the most relevant academic courses and high-level guest lectures, while full completion, approximately 20 Friday afternoons, leads to an official university certification.
