Welcome to Our New Member AGC Glass Europe!

As one of the leaders in flat glass, focusing on various industries including building and automotive industries, AGC Glass Europe is dedicated to sustainability by committing to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and reduce GHG emissions by 30% (Scope 1+2 and Scope 3 separately) by 2030.

Their goals include decarbonising glass production processes by using highly efficient melting furnaces, low-carbon electricity and increasing the use of cullet. It also means capturing all CO2 emissions from the supply chain upstream of their processes and other indirect emissions by sustainably sourcing raw materials, as well as optimising transport.

Our new member is investigating Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technologies in one of its largest float glass production plants in Belgium and is part of the HECO2 program aiming to decarbonise Walloon (heavy) industries, with AGC Glass Europe focusing on the implementation of low-carbon industries through electrification.
